2007 Oct 29th - It's My Birthday & I'll Cry If I Want To!

Monday, October 29, 2007

It’s not my birthday any more so I am upholding my right to be in a VERY BAD MOOD.

I resent looking "really well" on any occasion these days for the simple fact I usually feel SHITE, GRUMPY, SICK, FED UP, LONELY etc.
However these emotions and feelings fail to emblazon themselves upon my forehead for all to see. I'm thinking of getting a head band a la geordie le forge off Star Trek but above my eyes which flashes LED messages depending on my mood....I've seen t-shirts that do the same but you have to launder clothes and I really can't be bovvered. I have a heap of beautifully ironed laundry courtesy of the whirlwind that is my little sis, don't want to add to the unironed pile this soon.

My back and ribs are horrid today I can't be bothered to get out of bed and clear the devastation that is the afterparty in my kitchen.........I'm sure Skittles is scavenging for cake crumbs and Thorntons chocolate slivers as I write........oh well, I have anti bacterial (eco friendly of course).

The school just rang, apparently Karys keeps forgetting to pay back some money she borrowed when she forgot her lunch one day.......can I reimburse them ASAP. I thought oh dear has she run up the national debt.....nope it's £1.75.....

Also she called her KErys, and when I corrected her on the pronunciation of my OWN daughter's name she said "Yes, that's right" I BLOODY NAMED HER THANKS I KNOW HOW TO PRONOUNCE MY DAUGHTER'S NAME YOU IDIOT. She was a right moody mare and I said yes of course I'll send the money but not today as I'm ill in bed "well so long as we get it ASAP now you are aware of the 'situation'". Yes of course, I'll put it right at the top of my TO DO list!

I still have to face the slapped arse witches at the surgery - that's a little cruel, but at least one of the fits that description..........I need a sick note and a MED 4 form.
Oh joy I get to sit with a bunch of ill people again whilst seething inside at having to be in the building at all.

I could go on, but actually I just want to lie in bed and play poker with a bunch of strangers. See ya!

I have a neighbour who insists on telling me how well I look every time he sees me (if I see him first he doesn't see me, if you catch my drift). Well, I don't think I look well. I look like the eggman. I'm fat, now have a big round face with red cheeks, and I have piggy eyes. And I'm balding and keep falling over. How well is that?

Last week I met someone who said 'I wouldn't have known you were ill if I hadn't been told' and all you want to do is say 'I wasn't always ugly, you know'. Do they think I have this haircut through choice?

Right, I'm off to sweat in bed and wonder if my feet are numb because of oxy or cold...

I do, dear I have met the type. You have always been beautiful my dear and if it's hiding in an eggshell then it's just being protected, ready to come out again in the new year.

Try saying "I wasn't always ugly", see what they say, I get bored protecting everyone else's feelings when they keep hurting mine. Two nurses looked disgustedly at my interior decor and I feel obliged to point out to anyone who so much as glances through my window that this house was a repossession and THIS IS NOT MY CARPET. Also I'VE BEEN ILL AND COULDN'T DECORATE.

No wonder they don't come to give my injections any more especially after Skittles tried to climb the nurses leg whilst mid jab once hahahahah.

I am now also sweating in bed..........

I was feeding my neighbours' 11 month old cat and 4 month old kittens last week, and much as I loved them (so cute) I was a bit worried they might try a spot of leg scrambling. Luckily not - and my cat sat outside their kitchen door and howled every time I went in there.

Tell them it's the retro look. That's all 60 minute makover seem to do (oops! My guilty secret is out now!)

ATTITUDE CLOTHING
Category: Fashion, Style, Shopping

Don't ever, ever use this company, unless you're goth/emo etc you wouldn't but, just don't. I hate them they didn't send Karys coat for her birthday present ordered 3rd Jan, delivery expected 7-14 days,

after chasing - despatched on 16th Jan, chased by phone 1st Feb advised to wait until NEXT Friday.

Emailed again, to be advised it was lost in the post, I wouldn't get a refund until Royal Mail gave them compensation which would depend on me receiving and replying to a letter from Royal Mail (the same people who lost the coat but were trusted to deliver and receive letters).

Funnily enough I wasn't happy with that since it was over a month since we'd ordered and a couple of weeks since despatch. I demanded an immediate refund. Got a snotty call from some bitch at the company (needless to say me stating this was a present for my daughter from me and her family plus her own money, me having cancer and really not needing additional stress right now meant nothing to her) advising me that miraculously that day they received the coat back. They'd failed to deliver it.

Oh REALLY? So when was this, how would I know, no card was left, my daughter searched on a daily basis for some clue that they'd tried to deliver and returned it to the depot. As I pointed out I am not at home during the day as I have to go to work - that's how I earn the money to pay for items I buy online.

Apparently they don't always leave a card - uh? So I'm supposed to be phsycic then and just take the day off when I think they'll deliver?

She kept talking over every question or sentence (basically where I told her that my rights are to get a refund which they were denying me pending their successful compo claim) and I was soooo ANGRY I hung up, she rang back to tell me they were not going to send me the coat and would arrange a refund. Bitch.

Karys, not too happy. At least I vented some anger at having cancer at the stupid cow.

Hi,

I'm sorry about the coat - the world is just full of idiots.

Including British Gas - you know they told me the £560 bill could be ignored - they would sort it out and not write nasty letters anymore??

Well I got a letter today FINAL REMINDER!!!

After half hour on phone and being cut off once, i gained nothing and he wouldnt put me through to anyone else so i can only comlain in writing.

Could I feel any worse?
Current mood: distressed
Category: Life

It's ten to sodding one in the morning technically 1st Feb. I've been a bit wired for the last few hours because despite spending a fortune and 3 hours in the hairdressers today (I like it) I've also passed an awful lot of blood - the last time about half an hour ago really scared me. Tyson has been a complete and utter GIT this last week or so bleeding more and more each day but this is the worst it's been so far. I've done relaxation, had a whisky, cried a bit, listened to music but sleep just isn't happening. As if that wasn't bad enough I just realised that my first and second babies, Alexander and Elliott would have been 15 on Sunday (they were stillborn when I was six months pregnant and identical). For the first time in 15 years I forgot their birthdays, I forgot to light a candle or go to the babies memorial garden at Wilford Hill, or the chapel where their names are in a memorial book at Pilgrim. Why? Because I'm too bloody occupied with this stupid fucking tumour. I HATE CANCER. I loved my babies and it made me forget.

I called the hospital today and I should see the oncologist on 9th Feb providing they can arrange a clinic. I may start chemotherapy (likely for about 6 months) the following Monday 12th Feb - they're going to put a PICC line in my arm, just inside my elbow so they don't have to keep sticking new needles in me every couple of weeks (good job really - remember what happened at the CT scan). It's a catheter (tube) they stick in and it goes all the way up and halfway across your chest into a central vein. Goodo, they need flushing once a week so they don't get blocked - going to be a bit tricky to do myself one-handed, so any volunteers who'd like to learn how to do that for me? I may be taking warfarin too just in case of blood clots, oh and anti-sickness drugs and I'll be having some radiotherapy (so I can have random sunburn on my back just for fun). My immunity will be lower so risk of infection is increased, therefore if you have any germs of any description I don't want to be within a 10 mile radius ta! I'll be having enough of my cells killed off without having to fight off a stupid virus too!

See diagram above for PICC line

and this pic of some other lucky chap's PICC line complete with beautiful bruising. Just so you don't get too scared if I'm wearing short sleeves.

To celebrate the news I had half my hair chopped off just in case it thins out - easier to lose it in stages if I have to but if not. well I like it anyway! No doubt if it does fall out the hair that I've had dyed pretty colours will fall out first, as is the law of Sod.

Well I think I feel better for that, I should probably go and make a milky drink or go to the loo for the umpteenth time this evening - I think two periods in three weeks was plenty but now my arse seems to want to join in too, Life is indeed a witch with a capital B (trademark Edwina Curry re: Jade;Danielle;Jo V Shilpa Shetty).

It's actual Loud Tie Week this week but as I'm feeling a bit crappy this week I just wasn't up to persuading the company to support Beating Bowel Cancer. Guess I may as well work my way round the rest of the office and my old dept because if I turn up with that thing in my arm one day soon I have a feeling it may raise some eyebrows and perhaps some questions.

Mememe! I'll do the picc line thing. I'm not squeamish so I think I'll be fine. All the websites I've found about it are crap though. They just say something like "Caring for your picc line - Flush it once a week". They don't actually say how.

I hope you're feeling better today. I feel a bit guilty about Alexander and Elliott slipping your mind, I'm sure you would've remembered if I hadn't needed you to keep me entertained all weekend.

I should be free to come over and do some more stuff to help out on Friday night/Saturday day if you need me. But I'll need a bit of time sometime soon to shine up my bike and take pics so I can get it listed on eBay. I'll probably resort to getting my car done on credit and paying it off after I sell the bike. Huffff!

Speak soon xxxx

2006 October 25th

Finally got round to getting my hair cut today, it's been almost 6 months since I spent £90 quid on a colour and cut for big sis's 40th party! Might get it cut again at Christmas.

Not looking forward to another single Christmas after last year's misery but there you go, it didn't work out with Scott and he's running off to join the foreign legion ( I kid you not) it's not as far as Thailand but just as anonymous.
